A Home for Madalina

Madalina was born in early October 2023. Her mother Evelina is 18 years old and when she was just 16, she had twins. She, her father Ghiontu (20 years old) and their girls live in the small Rom village of Mărcești. They both do everything they can to provide what they can but it’s really very difficult.

Ghiontu tries to work and feed his young family, who currently lives “confined” to a small room in a hut, together with Evelina’s entire family.

Some time ago they started building a new, more solid house made of “real” bricks, but they had to stop due to lack of economic resources.

As if that wasn’t enough, it seems that Evelina’s brothers want to send them away from the family home before winter, even though the “new” house is not yet ready.

Our brothers and sisters from the church of Onești expressed to us this request for help, since they see in this young couple seriousness and a desire to be helped, as well as being very faithful in participating in the meetings held in the church tent in their village. Both seem really determined to give a solid foundation to their very young family.

To be able to move into their home, it would be necessary to complete the brickwork of the roof, finish the drywall, and install a stove to keep warm, as well as other basic necessities.

We have tried to make an estimate and we believe that with a thousand euros we can allow this family to start a new life and give comfort and warmth to their little ones.

Madalina came into the world a few days ago and her future is already uphill. I personally will not remain indifferent. If there are many of us who help, we can truly demonstrate how much our being Christians makes a difference.
