Thank you!
A heartfelt thanks has to go out to all of you; brothers, friends, colleagues and supporters!
Your gifts helped make the start of the new year less cold and hungry than normal in Pădureni, a very poor rural village in the Vaslui district where we’ve been providing humanitarian aid for a few years. All of the special donations received up until the 31st of December were used to put together 60 food packs and 70 gloves-neck warmer kits, bought in Romania by our brothers and collaborators there.
The standard food packs contain: sugar, flour, sunflower oil, rice, pasta, biscuits, beans, tomato puree, something sweet and detergent.
During our trip in November we gave gloves-neck warmer kits to the children at “happy hour”, a weekly kids’ club at the farm for teaching the Word and playing games. Seeing how well the kits went down with the children, we asked ourselves why we couldn’t extend the same joy to other kids, giving you the chance to get involved by giving a donation, however small, to this small but important project. Every small or big gift has turned into something so useful for these little ones.
A few days ago, on the 8th of January, the people of Pădureni received much more aid than we normally give: 60 food packs instead of the usual 23, and 70 gloves-neck warmer kits for as many kids!
We therefore want to thank you once again, and from the bottom of our hearts, for responding so generously to our appeal. We’d like so much to be able to keep the number of families supported this high, and see more and more children happy, warm and properly fed.
So we ask you to pray that God will continue to raise up supporters of the poor families who live in this place.
